WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE IN MISSIONS?

Jesus in his final moments on Earth, said this to his disciples:
"I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
This is the Great Commission, instructions not only to the disciples, but to everyone who follows Him. God's will is for everyone to know Him and be in relationship with Him. We go to follow God's will and bring lost souls the Gospel.

WHO CAN GO ON A MISSIONS TRIP?

Anyone can go, subject to missions director and team leader approval. Students are also encouraged to go and serve on a missions trip team. We will just ask for a formal recommendation from Pastor Payton and approval from a parent/guardian.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST AND HOW DO I RAISE THE FUNDS TO GO?

Guatemala 2025 is $1895. There are many ways to raise funds for a missions trip! You can ask friends and family to donate, save up, make a fundraiser, or any other ways you may think of. The church may help facilitate fundraisers, but you should not rely on this. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to raise the funds for your trip.

WHAT TRIPS ARE HAPPENING THIS YEAR AND WHEN ARE THEY HAPPENING?

This year we are sending out one Reach team. The team will serve in Guatemala from June 20th- 27th. We will be supporting the missions group @mountaintoppromises.

HOW CAN I APPLY?

You can apply below! The deadline for applications is December 8th, 2024 and will be considered on a first-come basis subject to approval by the trip leaders and deposit submission.

Oasis Reach 2025

Apply today to reserve your spot on the Summer 2025 missions team. Please note, the final team selection will be determined by the Missions Director and Trip Leaders.

The total cost is $1,895, including a non-refundable deposit of $135, due by December 8, 2024. After this date, the total trip cost will increase by $200.

Oasis Missions Conduct Agreement

I understand that as a participant of an Oasis Missions Trip, I am voluntarily becoming an active member of a team. In doing so, I understand that all teams must have a team leader, and I will submit to the authority and leadership of the team leaders overseeing this missions trip. I understand that my team leaders have the best interest of the team and myself in mind, and they will make decisions accordingly. They will do what is necessary at all times to protect the team and its members, while representing and sharing Christ among the people God has called us to serve. Therefore, I will positively represent Christ and Oasis Church by always following my team leaders’ instructions and directions. I understand that being a part of an Oasis Missions Trip is a privilege and a high calling and will serve with excellence and humility.

Oasis Missions Financial Agreement

I commit to full participation in the Oasis Mission Trip to the location I have selected in this application during the designated dates. I understand that it is my responsibility to attend all training and team meetings set by the Team Leaders and the Missions Director. I understand it is my responsibility to raise my own funding for this trip, and I must raise the full amount set. Should I fail to raise the designated amount for the trip and/or meet all payment deadlines listed below, I understand I may be removed from the team on the discretion of the Missions Director. Should I withdraw from the trip, I understand I will be responsible for reimbursing Oasis Church for any expenses they may have incurred on my behalf (plane tickets, etc.) that are not already covered by the funds I have raised. I also understand that in such cases, all funds I have given to Oasis Church for my designated trip are non-refundable and will be used for general missions trip funding.
