WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE IN MISSIONS?
Jesus in his final moments on Earth, said this to his disciples:
"I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
This is the Great Commission, instructions not only to the disciples, but to everyone who follows Him. God's will is for everyone to know Him and be in relationship with Him. We go to follow God's will and bring lost souls the Gospel.

WHO CAN GO ON A MISSIONS TRIP?
Anyone can go, subject to missions director and team leader approval. Students are also encouraged to go and serve on a missions trip team. We will just ask for a formal recommendation from Pastor Payton and approval from a parent/guardian.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST AND HOW DO I RAISE THE FUNDS TO GO?
Both the NYC and Guatemala trips are $1845. There are many ways to raise funds for a missions trip! You can ask friends and family to donate, save up, make a fundraiser, or any other ways you may think of. The church may help facilitate fundraisers, but you should not rely on this. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to raise the funds for your trip.
WHAT TRIPS ARE HAPPENING THIS YEAR AND WHEN ARE THEY HAPPENING?
In the Summer of '24 we have two missions opportunities. The first trip will serve in Guatemala from June 13th- 21st. We will be supporting the missions group @mountaintoppromises. The second trip will serve in the New York City from July 15th - July 21st. This trip will focus on kids ministry and volunteer for @dreamcenterynyc summer basketball camp.

You can apply below! The deadline for applications is December 3rd, 2023 and will be considered on a first-come basis subject to approval by the trip leaders and deposit submission.
